This is a tragedy. I can't listen to this.

John wants to focus on getting an agent? Is John a band or comedian or something? Good luck John, whatever you do. May all your cars not be electric.

Why can't the part of John Salwin be played by someone other than Mr. Tinkleman? Like Darrin on I Dream of Jeanie?

March 26, 2010 | Unregistered Commentercraig

Salwin knocked up a black chick. i knew it. If you replace him with the Head of Ryan Wong I'll fly out there an burn down the barn.

March 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterPolly

I will stop listening if this is real. (No cheers from the peanut gallery, please.)

March 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterWilliam

I am having trouble locking down the location of the barn. I can find the HK Super, I can find the street mentioned, and even a kindergarten. Damn Google street view!

God speed John Salwin, I truly hope that one day you do return.

Polly, what if they went with the headless body of Gina Grad in sexy boots like those pictures from Germany? At least she will be just as interesting as real live Gina Grad.

Wow, I go dark, don't I?

This is the best "write off" you could come up with for the Salwin character? I know Freddy was a little demanding at contract renewal time such that it was necessary to end his role on the show, but you could at least say he died in a motorcycle accident or is in a coma.

I have not listened to this yet, if it's true it's a damn shame.
John is a brilliant comedic mind and this show is/was about to blow up, you're putting in your hours, the show has a huge back catalog and is a cunt hair away from being brought into ACE, terrible timing.
It's like quitting a marathon during the final stretch, come on man your nipples are already bleeding and you diarrhea'd down your leg like 8mos ago.

if this is some bizarre "let's play with reality" shit you guys always pull then bravo.

Will, fairweather fans who proclaim how any little thing will make them stop listening are never appreciated, I don't think anyone here cares what you do or do not listen to.

March 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterGiovanni G.

It's not a little thing. John is an integral part of the show. Him, Marc, and Tod (he, Marc, and Tod? Either one sounds wrong) have the perfect chemistry together. I don't care if this show was originally just about Marc and Tod, I'm posthumously renaming it the Marc, John and Tod Show. (And yes, the order is deliberately a callback.)

Well I guess the only RATIONAL think left to do is commit a mass suicide. Maybe I'll start a Facebook group about it...

I will dearly miss John's vaguely uncomfortable "oh" when things took a turn for the overtly sexual or scatological. God speed John and do hurry back to us.

March 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMonkeypants

Gio, it is only for a while (nebulously job related), but that little time could mean a lot of one day record sessions missed now that they only seem to record once a week.

I still will miss John, and do hope that it is just temporary. Hopefully he can still email a few produced spots like the hilarious iCarly one to help lessen the pain.

Please god, just not Ryan or Gina. What about ACP intern Gabe? Maybe you could borrow one of the many Megaboom guys - they all sound the same, the kind of gay one, the old timey voice one, the married one - they are all interchangeable in my book.

Laxdude, WHY must you drag Ryon Wong/Gina Grad/Hot Talk LA into almost every post you make? You know damn well your nightmare scenario will never happen. Low Budget and HTLA are two different worlds that will never collide. You just love bringing those people up every chance you get. It's like you're obsessed with them. You really think it's a possibility that Marc and Tod would bring one of them in as a permanent replacement?! You're either paranoid delusional, or you're not serious and you just like making the same stupid trolly joke over and over. WE GET IT. YOU HATE THEM. POINT TAKEN.

Sorry to sound like an asshole, but I am so sick of hearing about them on this board/forum/whatever you call it. This is about the Low Budget world, not Hot Talk LA. I don't want to hear anymore about HTLA. I am sick of hearing about them, you understand? SICK OF IT!

That's cool, take your time off John, just as long as you're still willing to drink and do a little charles when you return, I feared he was heading for rehab, agent and new gigs is not a bad goal.
This just means more Cioffi shows, which is always a good thing.

Maybe I'm retarded(more retarded) but did you guys never thanks Nick S., your loyal and kind listener who attempted to alley oop my pitch for Lbfm to join ACE? if not that's a huge oversight and you should be shamed for it, also it implies you don't even listen to the ACP.
"hey dude we want to be on your like network bro, yeah we like don't listen to your podcast because it's not up to our audio and comedy standards old man, but like you need to give us money to do our show, you know"

March 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterGiovanni G.

LBFM would never be able to pay Gina's seven-figure salary, but they could hire her non-union, Mexican equivalent, "Mexican Gina" (of tortilla chips fame). If William says its ok, of course.

March 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDerek

Like everyone else, I will miss Salwin and hope he returns soon.

Now let's get down to business and find a replacement.
Cioffi is too obvious.

My top 3 are Tracy, Barry Sobel, and Marc's kind of hostile ex girlfriend.

John, long may you run.

March 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMikeW

Great after hearing this i need to go to das bunker for a (or several) stiff straight shot(s) of jack daneils. Now who is going to avoid ths issue? At least give Cioffe a more prominent role now.

March 28, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterRoberto Vasquelez

"John, long may you run"...my comment: not possible, he will probably be out of breath after the first 100 yds.

Anyway, I am sorry that you are leaving the show because of my corny comments. Yes the world revolves me so the only reason you are leaving is because of me! haha..

Some people only listen to the show because of your intros and gritty feedback. Please come back every now and again.

John - DON'T GO!!!

That's all I have.

Wait, what?

March 29, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCharles

charles is code for blow, Charlie is the term but I do enjoy calling it Chuck or Charles, makes it sound classy like

March 29, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterGiovanni G.

I must say, I died a little inside when I read the title of this show. That's all I have to say about that. Oh, and it was actually a good show, if you factor out the whole John leaving thing...so nice job on that one, I suppose...

March 29, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCassi

Ok, you had me confused Gio, I mean, I want Salwin back but I don't think I'm willing to do him to get him back

I mean, maybe oral, but that's it!

Yay Charles! Woo Hoo!
