Oh dear god, tell me this girl is not from Vancouver...If she is you're screwed. Having lived there most of my life I will say that Canadian women, and Vancouver girls in particular, are just impossible. Having travelled in a lot of countries I've found women almost everywhere to be easier going and less stuck up and difficult than how they behave here.

As far as dating within the workplace and knowing the person "too well", worked out fine for me. Granted, we didn't start dating until after we both had left the company we worked together at, but it cut out all the crap Marc refers to. We had good background info on each other, allowed us to just move forward with no crappy dates and stuff. Damn good thing, too. I think if I had to start dating again around here I'd just move to Australia...
