Mall Dogs and Superheroes

Marc went to the Westfield Century City and stumbled across some fru-fru dog, and Tod's got a problem with Hulk sharing an ailment with a plant. Plus: Yoda billboards and underage girls at R-rated movies.

My biggest problem with this billboard? Yoda isn't on the Dodgers.

The Hulk is the worst superhero ever. Other superheroes may be conflicted, but they use their superhero side for the good of others. The Hulk just gets mad and smashes shit.

Christian Bale- decent Bruce Wayne, but terrible Batman. I didn't realize it wasn't a joke until five days after I saw "The Dark Knight." My thoughts- "Oh wait, that was serious? I kinda feel bad about proclaiming it 'The feel good laugh riot of the summer!' now..."

District 9 brings up a good point. Can you imagine a world with life other than humans? You know, like if dogs, cats, fish and bears were REAL, and not just mythical figures of stories and fables?

My absolute FAVORITE superhero is Hancock!

Definitely - Michael Keaton was the best Batman ever!

HAHAHA - "I can tolerate a purse dog."

And, I'm sure William will chime in and tell you how much you suck. Nice guy that he is. :-)

John,

Wasn't Yoda in the Dodgers farm system until he was traded for Mace Windu, Admiral Ackbar, and a Jawa to be named later?

Best Batman is a tie between Kevin Conroy who does the various animated movies and series and the dude from Batman Dead End the Sandy Collora short film, this

(coolest thing from 2003)

Micheal Keaton, how dare you, yeah batman using his patented "Front Kick" attack and unable to look right or left, yeah that makes sense, dude can't look to his side or lift his arms, no wonder they had him battle a septuagenarian Joker.

Despite their faults there are some truly great moments in both Hulk movies

Hancock is a drunk.

Hey, is that the reputation I've developed around here? Sorry about that. Maybe I complain too much. Someday I'll have to work on that. Today is not one of those days.

You Bale haters focus incessantly on the Batman voice, to the point that you don't notice or care how much the Bale Batman kicks ass. Keaton played Batman as a monotone, with stiff, robotic motion, like the Terminator with a cape. Bale injected life into the character. His technique is to play the character as more beast than man (and that's why he has an almost inhuman voice).

I think I may have come across my favorite comment yet!

"Today is not one of those days." - William.

A sequel to "Hancock"? I hope not, that is like "I am Legend" two Will Smith movies I liked for the first half, then they went wrong somewhere in the 2nd act.

I learned via another podcast I shan't name that the movie "Seven Pounds" might be a Will Smith movie that is awful for the first couple of acts then awesomely closes with Will committing suicide in a bathtub via a jellyfish, that shit movie made it to number one on my netflix queue after hearing about that

Don't cry about spoilers, anyone reading this wasn't going to see that movie anyway.

I saw 'Seven Pounds' and did not like it. Will Smith never even cracks a smile in this movie. Downer

And, it's very predictable.

Tod - I LOVE THAT MOVIE, HANCOCK! So NOT predictable!
