Not nearly as enjoyable as Johnny Nightmare's Ghoulish Halloween Spooktacular.
Wtf!!!???? I have NO IDEA what you're talking about in this 'story'. Im going to have to listen to that again for clarification. And this is your xmas special??? Why am i always being let down with the holiday shows and the 'event' shows (ie the 100th show spectacular that had a bunch of rando's hosting it) You at LEAST could have killed an intern to get us in the xmas spirit. Get with the times!
Now Polly,
On yesterday's show, we killed 4 people and injured babies with flying glass bottles and grandma candy. What more can you want?
tod has a point there polly im afraid if they kill anyome else this week they'll be facing some serious investigations
Uh. Yesterday was our Christmas special.
All I want for Christmas is fans that don't complain when we give them the BONUS gift of Al Davis.
I just wanted to register a non-complaint. I'm down with everything ya'all do. Happy holidays, gentlemen.
And my 2010 prediction is that every single man, woman and child in America will either have a podcast, a band or a screenplay. 95% of those podcasts will be on HotTalk LA.
Staion Agent, yes, but when will HTLA get their first podcast worth listening too?
If you follow Marc's twitter, you would know this was an extra, probably inteneded to be exclusive Content, and the DC101 masacre was the Christmas Special.
What were you expecting, a coked out Carey Fisher, Bea Arthur, and a touching Wookie psuedo 'Christmas' through line with some amazingly bad Animation that introduces Boba Fett?
I'll admit I was a bit confused while listening to this. I thought I missed something, so started the episode over. Then ... again... and again ...
HOWEVER, I did laugh. But not nearly as hard as yesterday. I'm still laughing when I think about DC101. What a damn riot that was! Again, I say THANK YOU! You made my Christmas holiday complete!
I think you guys may need to do a spin off DC 101 "the lost tapes" podcast, release one episode a week, the idea is so fucking strong but the way you've executed it both times has made it comedic genius, DC 101 is "David DeMarco" caliber material.
About this episode, I dug it, I thought it would be nothing new till next year, so it was an awesome treat, thanks!
i must apologize to marc. I do follow him on twitter (as lax suggested) but i forget about the time change. So when i read that the xmas special has beeen switched to 'tomorrow' the time stamp here in philadelphia read 1:53am on 10/22 (10:53pm on 10/21 in LA) So that was my geographical mistake and i apologize to marc for suggesting he would EVER put out a sub par holiday show.
Polly, You always know it's a LBFM special when somebody dies. As far as I could tell, nobody died during John's reading. Thus, it could not be a holiday special.
LBFM'10 : the website will be revamped, a couple of times. Art in r&d will intern a sheepish asian girl. There will be hite. The LBFM all stars will be assmbled and produce for premium content since marc and tod don't have the energy or time to be making talk for two shows.
The dow will go waver down through a 5% correction to a support level of 9520 by march or april 2010. This point will mark the start of a rally lasting into the end of the year.
btw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPbF2WLjoAY&feature=player_embedded# the attack on the pope has started. and r&d's asian girl will turn out to be a hoax.
LBFM '10 Prediction: The guys will announce that they have been invited to join Adam Carolla's podcast network. The fanbase rejoices.
Jonathan: I hope you are right man, I think that LBFM would be a good addition and has a similar demographics and listener distribution (so an easy ad sale match) as the ACP.
Just as long as the next session is not recorded Chez Ryan Wong Studio I will be glad...unless they are on a covert mission to bring me the head of Ryan Wong that is.
LBFM is a much better show than several other popular ones I listen to, and is 5 days a week rather than weekly (Jordan, Jesse, GO!, Stop Podcasting Yourself, WTF, and Comedy and Everything Else easily jump to mind) and if you want to count consistency it is better than the ACP in my books simply by not having bad guests that weigh the show down.
Ryan Wong eats puppies and rapes babies! He's the spawn of Satan, just like Teresa "Horrible Shrew" Strasser! (Am I doing it right?)
I can confirm that the next shows will be recorded at Chez Ryan Wong Studio (apartment).
Hey "Real Marc Chambers", learn to use proper French grammar. "Chez" is a preposition, roughly corresponding to "at the home of". "At chez" is redundant. Say what you will about laxdude, at least he knows that. (Maybe he's French-Canadian?)
W00t! First comment in '10!
I like Teresa Strasser and was pulling for her to be hired (and I was a Rachel Perry fan from when she was on Canadian TV). She might not have been perfect for the job she ended up with and could have been a stronger person, but I still will defend her being on the show.
Ryan Wong comes off as a two-faced douche, or maybe that is his radio persona. Since all I know him is via radio/podcast - he shall remain a douche. Marc, Tod, and Salwin seem to get along with him, but I aligned with Cioffi early who does not. If people can get something out of PGP, then all the better for them - I do not. It is like scat porn, if it works for you...good for you, I just want NO part of it.
Not French Canadian, I am an American-Canadian, I just took 5 years of high school French.
William is an ass
Station Agent you had me laughing my ass off when u said, "95% of those podcasts will be on HotTalk LA." Truer words have never been spoken.
Eitherway, thanks a lot guys for an awesome year of content. Much like a junkie quivers and runs around in circles expecting that next meth hit, I'm anxiously awaiting the return of the podcast.
Thanks for the work.
Jaime
P.S.Also, is there way people that are not on ipods/iphones get their hands on the exclusive content from the Low Budget FM App? I'm more than happy to throw a few shillings your way but I refuse to throw my zune way side to be able to buy exclusive content.
P.P.S. William, ease up on the Strasser hating.
i agree with jaime, you should offer the exclusive content in another fashion for we losers with blackberrys and plain ole scrolling ipods. i refuse to buy an ipod touch, they dont have enough memory to hold my current 657 albums and they're too 'hipster
Tod, i hope you NYE party was a success and that coasters were employed by all your guests, even Drunk C. Did Marc and John finally get the invite? Im betting they were NOT included in the festivities seeing that they're apparently not favorites of Princess Perry. Glad you'll be back tomorrow, i've been listening to music at work for 8hrs a day for the past however many days. My hearing has been substantially damaged.
